This romano-british pot was found in the mud of the river medway.

It is dated from about 200AD and is called UPCHURCH WARE.

Note the two holes in the rim ,these would be for a leather strap to enable the pot to be hung up - it would probably have held cooking oil or bathing oil.
A Bronze age knife dated to about 1000BC . this knife was found in Sharfleet creek . Note the two pegs still in place these originaly held the wood or bone handle in possition.
